The Measuring System
The measurement system consists of up to two 3D laser scanners, depending on the lanes in the crane gantry, and a LASE Control Unit (LCU).
The LaseTPS - Truck Positioning System solution was developed to enable fully automatic truck positioning under STS cranes. The use of robust and state-of-the-art laser technology aims to determine the positions of trucks, trailers, AGVs or containers. This enables accurate truck positioning for container loading and unloading.
The measuring system consists of one or two 3D laser scanners. For large gantries or portals with many lanes, two 3D laser scanners are mounted on both sides of the crane crossbeam so that the lanes can be measured three-dimensionally along the direction of travel in the gantry. The scenery in the portal can be measured in both 2 and 3 dimensions. The LaseTPS measurement system is primarily designed for STS container cranes and serves both the safety of the stevedores and an efficient workflow during container handling.
