LaseSWM– Slab Width Measurement

This measuring system LaseSWM – Slab Width Measurement consists of two laser measurement devices which are mounted on both sides of the roller table.

System

The measurement systems measure on the side of the slabs. By knowing the distance of both systems to each other and the measured data, the slab width can be calculated exactly.

The evaluation of the slab width takes place in a PC. It will be also noted that the slabs can be misaligned whilst being measured and furthermore could have different kinds of shapes. Triangulation lasers out of the LASE 1000T – Green Line Series will be utilized to measure the slabs.
