LASE has been awarded the contract to supply two LaseBCP systems for a project in Canada. LaseBCP Boom Collision Prevention is a laser measurement system that monitors the boom area of an STS crane during gantry travel and when the boom is lowered down. If it detects obstacles, like the bridge or radio antennas on the vessel, it signals the crane control system to slow down or stop the crane's movement to prevent collisions. The system is designed for STS crane operations to avoid significant damage, crane downtime, and dangerous accidents.
