Patented solution for precise container positioning in ports
On 10 March 2016, LASE Industrielle Lasertechnik GmbH was granted German patent No. 10 2012 020 953 for a 3D laser scanning measurement system designed to determine the exact position of ISO containers on carrier vehicles. The patent is the result of the company’s own successful project development and underscores LASE’s innovative strength in the field of industrial laser measurement technology.
This laser scanner-based system enables container positioning in the port to be controlled with significantly greater precision and efficiency. At the same time, the solution helps to sustainably increase the level of automation and container handling in the land-side loading and unloading zones. In this way, LASE supports port and terminal operators in making processes safer, faster and more cost-effective.
