Application example LaseTMD
This application example shows the principle behind LaseMF as a modular multifunctional system for RTG cranes.
The setup uses four scanners per RTG to generate one large point cloud of the relevant crane environment. This shared data basis is then used by the different Lase-MF modules, each of which evaluates the same point cloud in its own way depending on the required function.
This is exactly what makes the modular concept so powerful. Instead of relying on separate measurement systems for each individual task, LaseMF provides one comprehensive data source that can support multiple safety and assistance functions within the same crane application. Depending on the selected module, the system draws the relevant information from the shared point cloud and processes it for the specific operational purpose.
For terminal operators, this means a flexible and scalable system
architecture. Functions can be added according to operational requirements, while all modules continue to work on the basis of the same sensor data. This supports efficient integration, reduces complexity and creates a strong basis for modern manual, remote controlled and automated crane processes.
